IPL LIVE SRH vs GT: Gujarat Titans (GT) outclassed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with a dominant seven-wicket victory in Match 19 of IPL 2025, held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 6.
After being asked to bat first, SRH faltered and posted a below-par total of 152/8 in 20 overs. In reply, despite losing two early wickets, GT chased down the target with ease—thanks to skipper Shubman Gill’s sublime maiden half-century of the season, guiding his side to a comfortable win.
Gill-Sundar Stand Powers GT to Commanding Win Over SRH
Gujarat Titans’ chase stumbled early as Sai Sudharsan (5) and Jos Buttler (0) fell cheaply. But captain Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar stepped up with a match-defining partnership.
Gill played the perfect anchor, while Sundar counter-attacked from the get-go. The duo stitched a crucial 90-run stand for the third wicket, with Sundar narrowly missing his maiden IPL fifty, falling for 49.
Their partnership laid the foundation for an easy chase, as GT reached the target in just 16.4 overs at 153/3. Sherfane Rutherford added the finishing touches with a blistering 35* off 16 balls.
Siraj’s Fiery Spell Rattles SRH Top Order
Mohammed Siraj was the standout bowler for Gujarat Titans, delivering a fiery spell that dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad’s top order. He struck early, removing Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma in the powerplay.
Although Nitish Reddy (31) and Heinrich Klaasen (27) stitched a 50-run partnership to steady SRH after an early collapse at 50/3, Siraj returned to clean up the tail. He finished with sensational career-best IPL figures of 4/17 in his four-over quota, playing a pivotal role in restricting SRH to just 152/8.
Gill Slams Maiden Fifty of IPL 2025

Sundar’s Career-Best Knock Powers GT
Washington Sundar played a crucial role in Gujarat Titans’ seven-wicket win, delivering a fiery 49 off just 29 balls with five fours and two sixes. His aggressive approach early in the chase eased the pressure and helped bring the required run rate under control.
Although he narrowly missed out on his maiden IPL fifty, this knock stands as his highest score in the tournament. Sundar now has 427 runs in 61 IPL matches at a strike rate of 120.62. While he has 37 wickets to his name as well, the all-rounder did not bowl in this fixture.
