RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final: Mandhana, Voll Shine as RCB Win Second Title

RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final delivered one of the most thrilling matches in Women’s Premier League history as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets to win their second WPL title. The final, played in Vadodara, saw RCB successfully chase down a record target of 204 runs, thanks to an unforgettable partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

Having batted first, Delhi Capitals posted a huge total which was the highest target ever of a WPL final. Their batters were off to a flier, taking the RCB bowlers on and scoring at a brisk rate. A forceful powerplay and consistent runs through the middle stages meant that DC coasted past 200, a strong half-way point to be at.

However, what followed was a historic run chase that completely changed the game. Smriti Mandhana, leading RCB, walked out with clear intent and confidence. From the very first over, she took control of the innings, playing aggressive shots while maintaining composure. Georgia Voll provided perfect support at the other end, rotating strike and punishing loose deliveries. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

The Mandhana-Voll partnership, which got off to a stuttering start in the RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final completely turned it around. They put together 165, a WPL final record that was also the highest partnership of all. This was not just taking the game away from Delhi Capitals, this was also shutting their bowling and fielding up.

Mandhana led from the front and played a captain’s innings, quickfire 87 off just 41 balls. Her knock was studded with sweetly timed drives, clean lofts and deft placements which ensured that the scoreboard moved rapidly. Georgia Voll was other standout with 79 runs and looked beyond her years during the big occasion.

Even though Delhi Capitals made several bowling changes and tried some field placements, nothing worked. Their bowlers were left unsure as they struggled for consistency and it became evident that the pressure of defending such a big total had affected them. Missed opportunities on the field compounded DC’s woes further even as RCB remained in the drivers’ seat during the chase. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

RCB got the target with overs to spare and completed a famous 6-wicket win. The RCB camp erupted in joy after the winning runs were scored. Players, support staff and fans reveled in what was a red-letter day for the franchise. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

This victory only certified Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as a strong presence in women’s cricket. Securing a second WPL title demonstrates their ability to execute under pressure and come up big in the big games. There was also an admirable leadership, led from the front by captain-batter Smriti Mandhana.

RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final proved to be heartbreak once again for Delhi Capitals. This was their fourth straight loss in a WPL final, having previously lost finals in 2023, 2024 and 2025. DC is known to be final jinx and every time DC has finished one step away from the title. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

This lingering theme has sparked doubt about DC’s mentality under finals pressure. They are excellent players in their own right, who play with balance squads, but they haven’t got the rub of the green at crucial points in finals. Fans are sympathetic to the group, but frustration creeps in as another opportunity proves elusive.

The final also demonstrated the improving quality of the Women’s Premier League. High scores, record chases and individual brilliance are becoming commonplace. Performances such as Mandhana’s and Voll’s indicate how far the women’s game has come in recent years. RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final

In the end RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final will go down as one of the best matches in WPL history. Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll made the headlines with their partnership for RCB in a sensational win to lift their second league title. As RCB enjoy the high of victory, Delhi Capitals are left to contemplate and once again wonder what it will take to bag that elusive WPL title.
